Based on a recommendation from a friend, last night I headed out to Pent Club, arriving around 11 pm. The Pent Club is a members club, but anyone can go in. Non-members can pay 3,000 baht at the door and get a bottle of Chivas, or 660 baht and get two drink coupons. This is a fairly plush club, and pricey for Bangkok.
Just wanting to look around, I paid 660 baht and used my coupons for two beers.
Overall, this is a very upscale venue. I found 4 areas:
1. The main showroom, with a live band, a stage with a ‘catwalk’. While I was there, they had a special show on with fairly elaborate costumes and choreography. It wasn’t Las Vegas, but for a local club it was pretty good. The girls were very attractive and the costumes were creative. (The show had a winter snow theme. One girl had antlers, another was dressed like a polar bear with white fur and a bear head atop her own. Another girl was painted in gold glitter from head to toe; quite an elaborate job).
