30+ Thai words you can always remember

Just for fun, I’ve decided to add a new category to my blog titled “Thai language”.  In here I’ll put some short items designed for the casual visitor to Thailand who’d like to have a few words or phrases in the local language to impress the girls with.

These items will be short, and focused on simple, easy to learn-easy to remember language.

These items are NOT intended to assist people who know the language or live here full time.  They are also NOT intended to teach anyone to speak or read Thai.  If you want to learn the language, buy a book, a CD or take a class. 

I’m simply trying to entertain, and provide some simple vocabulary that people can retain and use on their next trip to Thialand. 

Here’s a list of Thai words that you should be able to internalize immediately and retain for your entire life.  Your Thai vocabulary just expanded!

Werewolf’s “me” day

 me day

I woke up around 5 a.m. on New Year’s Day because I was cold.  Quietly cursing myself for falling asleep with the air conditioner on, I reached for the remote control, only to realize that the a/c was off.  But the balcony door was open, and it was cold outside.

I crawled under the covers and went back to sleep quickly.

I didn’t wake up again until 10:30 or so… a pleasant sleep in thanks to the unusually cool weather.  When I did wake up, I decided that since it was New Year’s Day I wasn’t  going to work.  After my shower, I decided that because it was such a pleasant day, I was going for a walk.
