Checking the Big Mango Blog today, I read this:

“Interpol launched a worldwide appeal to the public Tuesday to help identify a man suspected of sexually abusing young boys from Southeast Asia — hoping the rare move will lead to a quick arrest“. This link to this article has a photo so take a look and see if you recognize this evil prick.

This is a serious comment from pmmp at Big Mango. Click on the link. See if you recognize the guy. He should be stopped before he abuses any more children.

neighborhoods

My sister lives in an upper middle class neighborhood in the United States. She and her husband are nearing retirement, and have no children. He has worked for more than 30 years as a salesman and marketing executive, and I think his typical annual salary over the past ten years or so has been in excess of US$250,000 per year. My sister also works as an independent contractor, earning above $50K annually. They are DINKs… big time.

My sister and her husband remind me of characters you see in Hollywood comedies; the ones that have a giant Christmas tree and plenty of fresh baked cookies, and who tell the neighbor’s kids not to trample the ‘turf’ in the front lawn. I don’t mean that I don’t love my sister and brother-in-law; just that they are stereotypical of a certain kind of whitebread American. I’ve shared this idea with my sister and she agrees.

Coronation Day

I’m a little late, since it’s just past midnight as I sit down to type this, but it’s been a fairly full day.

Monday was a holiday for me here in Bangkok; it was Coronation Day. I spent the day with a Thai girl I know. She came over last night and slept at my place. I woke up fairly early, but she (being a Thai girl) snoozed until after 1 p.m. I spent the morning trolling through the internet planning a 6-day holiday in Northern Thailand that I have coming up in about a month. I was finalizing the air, hotel and tour info.
