If there was a vote for the best 100 sites on the world wide web, one of the sites that I would vote for would be deathclock.com.
According to the site, when I started writing this post I had 772, 381, 017 seconds left to live and I will die on Friday, 12 Novermber 2032.
The reason I think this is such a great site is that you can sit and watch the seconds of your life ticking away. For me this serves as a reminder to do anything except that. The site serves as a reminder to live life… to get out an DO SOMETHING.
One reason I chose to move to Thailand was the desire to enjoy as many of those ticking seconds as possible. These days I work a bit less and play a bit more. I have more frequent sex with younger and prettier girls than I would back in farangland.
I try to make sure that each day is lived.
But yesterday (Tuesday) I failed to meet that goal. Monday night I sat up most of the night surfing the internet and playing some games on my computer. I didn’t sleep until nearly 6 a.m.
I slept past noon, and when I woke up I was lethargic and lazy. I procrastinated on a number of things I expected to do, and around sundown it started pouring down rain. That pretty well sealed my fate for the day. I had thought about walking up to the local shopping center to buy something for a friend, but it wasn’t important enough to trudge through the monsoon.
I turned on the TV and settled in for the night. I watched a couple of movies on cable that I’d seen before, read some weblogs and ate some noodles. Around midnight I drifted off to sleep without having left my room all day — in fact I hadn’t even mustered the energy to take a shower.
This was the opposite of living life. When I’m 83 years old this might be a decent day, but honestly, at my age 86,000 seconds is way too many to waste on crap movies, crap food, crap writing and no sex.
So today I logged on to the deathclock.com site and watched my life ticking away. It’s renewed my commitment to live life more fully.
It’s taken me 1,072 seconds to write this blog. Now it’s time to get out and DO something.

“When I’m 83 years old this might be a decent day”
According to your quote from deathclock.com you are going to be history at the age of 72…
I could not resist and chcked my time – the site says that I died in October last year !
And what with the girl who slept at your place on Monday night ? (Went shopping with you all day)
She must have left while you were asleep. No action.
P.S. Freddy Fender the Mexican / American singer died about 2 years ago. I like his music.

Sorry to say that clock is as full of crap as a Christmas goose. According to it I died on 7 August 2007. I plan on being around for at least another 15 years, screw them!

My astrologer says I will live to 71… or at least that is when my horoscope ends… This clock said 68, but I do plan on giving up smoking… Maybe there is something there…

I’ve been using the deathclock site for years, and never had an issue, so I was surprised to see so many people saying the site didn’t work.
I input my details again and got the exact same date as last time. no problem at all.
strange….
