The problem with freelancers

The problem with freelancers is… well… you just don’t know who they are.

Last night I had a long night drinking that started at 4 p.m. and didn’t end until after two in the morning. I drank slowly but steadily. By two I wasn’t drunk so much as I was tired.

I picked up a freelancer on the way home.

I don’t love Thailand

I wrote this blog in May 2008, but the timing wasn’t quite right for posting it, since I’d put a couple of negative pieces up just prior. I wanted this one to stand on its own so decided to publish it later, following a couple of positive pieces about Thailand. I sort of lost track of it, and went away to rural Thailand for six weeks leaving the Bangkok Bad Boy in charge of things. Now that I’ve returned, it seems a good time to publish this blog.

“I love Thailand and it’s people….”

I often read these words written by people in blogs, in letters to the editor, forums and website comments.

The writer then goes on to say why he loves Thailand, or else the second part of the sentence begins with the word, “but“.

Me? I don’t love Thailand.
