I’m on the bus out of Chiang Mai with my sister beside me. We’ll be in Bangkok in about 9 hours. Lots of fun in Chiang Mai and I’ll be posting a full report soon. Unfortunately I didn’t charge my laptop battery before leaving Chiang Mai so I don’t have enough power to write the blog now while I have plenty of time.
Someone asked in the comments section if I would be able to get laid in Chiang Mai (given that I was travelling with my sister). The good news is that, yes, I did get laid by a Chiang Mai lovely last night and this morning — 3 pops — and yes she was great great fun!
I even went to Chiang Mai Zoo to see the three pandas.

wow..nine hours on a bus? That sounds grim. I’m flitting over to chang mai for a few days on my hols soon…thought the flights were really cheap..total for a return 1630 baht, 1 hour fly time, air asia…unless you know something I don’t? Guess the bus is way more scenic, but thats 8 hours I could spend more productiveley, ie hanging out the backend of a tequila sodden showgirl.
ps…good moves for the 3 pops…what a pro.

We knew when we were going to Chiang Mai, but not how long we wanted to stay or when we’d return, so we left the return open-ended. Decided to come back today, so we grabbed the overnight bus. No scenery to see at night. We left at 7 pm and arrived at 3:30 in the morning. 8+ hours but I spent 5 or 6 asleep… on the VIP bus the seats drop almost flat (about 60 degree slope) and the lights are out. Great way to travel, second only to the overnight train which has an actual bed.

That is probably the very exact opposite to how I imagined it to have been…doesn’t sound at all bad with the overnight sleeper. 3.30am arrival…just in time to head down the nana cap park for pops 4 5 and 6?
