On Wednesday this week, JB came to town. He was just passing through, spending two nights in Bangkok on his way to the US for work. We had plans to meet around 6 p.m.

I was delayed slightly, but I met him at the Big Mango Bar around 6:30 p.m. I had a Thai girl in tow, so the three of us sat at the bar downing pints of Tiger and San Miguel Light and chatting.

At some point Bangkok Bad Boy wandered in and joined us. As the big hand on the clock swung past the twelve for the second time I figured it was time to move on, so I told my TG friend that we were heading to the go gos without her. She made a quick phone call and arranged for a friend to come meet her.

I waved goodnight, and JB and I headed out into the night.

Well, if you didn’t already see the announcement on theFARANGspeaks2Much blog, there has been an update on the re-return to the ‘Kokosphere of Bangkok Bad Boy.

My weekend wasn’t relaxing. After spending Friday night out drinking and dancing with clients, I had to work Saturday and Sunday and, because I was starting a new contract upcountry on Monday, I stayed close to home on Saturday night. I did my laundry, ironed my clothes and packed a suitcase, finishing around midnight.

Sunday I took my suitcase to work with me, and at the end of the day I crossed town to the bus station and hopped an air-conditioned bus with a colleague to make a three-hour trip to my new workplace.

700,000

Woohoo!!!

Werewolf’s Lair has finally reached 700,000 hits today. The progress from half a million to the current level has been at a bit slower pace than before. The blog has matured now, leaving behind the explosive growth in readership in the first half of the year, but continuing to steadily attract returning visitors.

Well, I’m back.

I landed at the airport around sundown and raced home to my room with its comfortable bed, cable TV, air conditioning, hot water, refrigerator, washing machine and cooking facilities feeling like I’d returned to civilization from … er… well…not civilization.

My six weeks away were bound to be boring for me, and given that Werewolf’s Lair is a blog about my life, reading about my days would have been exceptionally boring for you. We were all fortunate, indeed, that the Bangkok Bad Boy agreed to look after the site during my absence. What can I say? The man makes me laugh.

3B’s writing is always a joy to read, but he may have reached the pinnacle of his powers with his blog entitled Maid Service Required. When BBB says he’s gonna stir up some shit, he really means it.

Hello, Hello, I’m Back Again! by the Bangkok Bad Boy

Hello folks. Bangkok Bad Boy here. This is exciting, isn’t it?

What? Eh? Oh.

Werewolf’s temporary absence from the ‘Kokosphere, like the raspy fanny-fart that occasionally occurs as a sozzled sex-pat slides his sated shaft out of a shagged-out streetwalker in a seedy Sukhumvit short-time suite, has left a bad smell in the air, and a gap to be filled.

This is the task with which I have been entrusted. Over the next six weeks, I hope you’ll enjoy watching me make a complete balls-up of it.

He’s baaaaaack!

At least temporarily.

I think everyone who reads this blog will be pleased and excited by the news that I have for you today. From the first of June I will be traveling upcountry in Thailand for six weeks. Because I will be very busy during this time, and may have uncertain internet access throughout, I have arranged for someone else to manage the blog in my absence.

The one and only Bangkok Bad Boy has graciously agreed to maintain the blog (and hopefully lift the standards a bit). With his extensive knowledge of Bangkok and it’s surrounds, his wit and his gifted writing style I believe he will be able to keep all and sundry interested and entertained while I am away.

In fact, my greatest fear is that I won’t be welcomed back to the blog when I return to Bangkok in mid-July.

BBB has agreed to post two or three blogs weekly, and he has a free hand to choose his topics. I know I miss his site and his great writing, and I hope all of you will be as excited as I am to be able to enjoy his blogs again, even if only for a limited time.

I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead

 

Recently I was talking to a Thai girl and I invited her to go out with me after work in the evening.  She told me she wanted to go, but she was tired and thought she’d best go home and sleep after work.

My response was, “You can sleep when you’re dead.”

She was shocked and upset.  You don’t talk to Asians about dying!
